Denominational Affiliation
Connect Church is a member of the Churches of Christ in Christian Union.
This denomination dates back to 1909 when five ministers and some sixty laymen, seeking greater freedom to preach and teach the Biblical message of full salvation, left the organization of which they had been a part and became the Churches of Christ in Christian Union. Since then the CCCU has expanded its ministries, reaching into 18 states and several foreign nations.
The CCCU church in Delaware launched out of an open air camp meeting at a farm located on Route 42. Since its earliest beginnings in 1924 the church has had a rich history of service to the city of Delaware.
In May of 2021 our church continued a shift towards vision focus by changing our name from Delaware CCCU to Connect Church. Today our church campus includes nearly 5 acres that includes 4 homes. We believe that God is working in this world and doing great things in and through His church. We are committed to being used by God to make a difference in the world.
At Connect Church, we know that everyone has a story. The beauty of the gospel is that no matter what your life’s story has been, Jesus has come to redeem it and give it a new ending.
